Description

The Climate Fresk is a collaborative and playful science-based workshop enabling the participants to take a step back and understand the physics, causes and consequences of climate change.

A second part is dedicated to brainstorming on actions & solutions we can put in place both at an individual and collective level, in the company.

The workshop lasts 3 hours and relies exclusively on collective intelligence.

Looking forward to this experience together!

That's why, we need participants to be on time (we need everybody to start!), to be fully engaged (we need everybody to understand!) and fully available (we need everybody to find solutions!). So please, refrain the use of laptop & cellphone during the session - a break will be managed for checks and quick calls.

Looking forward to this experience together.

Description

As humanity is faced with unprecedented challenges, "Climate Fresk" is a workshop that aims at raising awareness and understanding among people about climate change, therefore enabling impacting positive actions at the personal and collective level.
Based on the IPCC report, it explains the causes and consequences of climate change. It gives the opportunity to learn a lot in a short period of time and is meant for both novices and experts.

-- HOW THE GAME WORKS? ☀️-- This 3-hours long workshop calls on participants' collective intelligence and creativity to identify the cause-effect relationship between the different components of climate change. As a team, you aim to arrange adequately the 42 cards of the game, thus revealing the Fresk. Cooperation will get you from one deck of card to the next! A facilitator guide you during the workshop, to ensure good communication between the members of the group and to give additional explanations.

-- THE WORKSHOP'S PROGRAMME ✏️ --
🔹 the introduction, to learn a bit about "Climate Fresk" history and do some icebreaker exercices
🔹 the reconstruction of the Fresk, guided by your facilitator
🔹 the creative phase, to relax and get to grips with your Fresk
🔹 the debrief, to share your feelings, exchange on emotions, express thoughts and draw individual and collective solutions. Following the session, you may become a facilitator yourself and help raise awareness on the topic!

 -- PRACTICAL INFORMATION ⏰ --

🔸 In order to start on time, please arrive 5-10min in advance, any delay will not let you participate.

Description

Climate Fresks are 3-hour collaborative workshops and fun ways to learn about climate change. Participants work together to arrange 42 cards illustrating concepts from the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) reports.  The workshops raise awareness about climate change in a playful and collaborative way.

Understand Climate Change

In the face of this emergency, everyone must be able to understand climate change, make sense of the information, form an opinion, accept the necessary changes for the preservation of life on the planet, and act quickly!

How the Workshop Works

Participants gather around a table in teams of 4 to 7 people. Together, they arrange cards representing the different components of climate change to highlight links between cause and effect. A Fresker supervises one or more teams and guides them using a collective intelligence approach. The Fresker then facilitates an exchange to debrief and explore solutions.

Accessible to Anyone

Climate Fresk workshops are suitable for all audiences and all levels of understanding. They are appropriate for novices as well as the more aware who wish to deepen their knowledge on climate issues.

👩🏽‍🔬 The workshop allows novices and experts to discover or deepen their knowledge of this subject. It’s scientific, accessible and effective. The facts are sourced from the most respected scientific publications: the IPCC reports.

✏️ The workshop brings together participants and appeals to the creativity and collective intelligence of the group to reconstruct the causal links that make up the Fresk. A facilitator guides the teams in order to guide them through the workshop, to ensure good communication between the members and to provide additional explanations.

The program:

🔹 Reflection (1h30): discover and link the maps to co-construct the Fresk.

🔹 Creativity (30min): decompress, appropriate the Fresk and create a team spirit.

🔹 Debrief (1h): discuss your emotions, and explore individual and collective solutions.

💪🏾 And then what? Following the session, you can follow another training to become a facilitator yourself and help raise awareness on the topic!

🎉 This workshop has become the reference tool to enable individuals, schools and organizations to take ownership of the challenge of climate change. Already 1.2 MILLION participants have taken part in a Climate Fresk workshop worldwide!

Climate Fresk Workshop

Description

Description

In order to take action and build solutions, we first need to understand the problem. Climate Fresk is a powerful and trusted tool for providing quality climate education.

Join The Climate Fresk online: a team-based, engaging, and collaborative experience designed to deepen your understanding of climate change and all the connections. Over three interactive hours, participants work in teams of 4 to 7 to piece together 42 key cards, each representing a critical aspect of climate science.

Using collective intelligence, the workshop helps you uncover the cause-and-effect relationships driving climate change, sparking thoughtful discussions and encouraging actionable solutions.

Important details to know before you join:

  • The workshop is 3 hours long—attendance for the full session is essential.

  • It's divided into 2 phases, with breaks, so don't worry—you won't get bored!

  • If you can’t make it, please cancel ahead of time so someone else can take your spot.

Suitable for all experience levels, this workshop offers a hands-on, accessible way to grasp the complexities of climate change.

To make our Wednesday night even more enjoyable, we invite you to bring any snacks or refreshments you'd like to share while we play the Fresk together (potluck).

The session will be facilitated by Amandine Richard, a sustainable design specialist and experienced workshop trainer and facilitator, and Marine Coulmeau, facilitator expert and change management consultant.
